Verizon dropped some news on yesterdays LTE 4G news conference. The carrier has revealed that it will demonstrate LTE 4G smartphones and tablets from top-tier manufacturers at CES in January and release laptop data devices will be available at network launch.Verizon also stated that its LTE 4G smartphones and tablets "first half of 2011."

Verizon LTE 4G is expected to offer between 5 and 12Mbps download speeds and upload speeds will range between 2 and 5Mbps.

The largest US carrier also announced that it plans to cover 38 LTE 4G markets across the U.S. by the end of 2010. Verizon expects 10 million POPs will have access to LTE by December 31.
