Here's a new chapter in the US 4G war saga. Verizon Wireless has made an aggressive move by marketing its 4G network as the fastest in America. It appears that the carrier also intends to release a series of ads that attacks the 4G networks of its rivals.
Images of Verizon's ad campaign indicates that they are directed towards AT&T. However, there's no doubt that the carrier will also strike against T-Mobile's HSPA+ and Sprint's WiMAX networks.
Verizon Wireless does not currently offer a 4G handsets. However, rumors indicate that the carrier is already preparing to launch smartphones for its LTE 4G network. Verizon Wireless' CEO Ivan Seidenberg also recently stated that Verizon's first Long Term Evolution smartphone may hit the market by February 2011 and LTE 4G devices will be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January of next year.
Stay tuned as we bring more updates on the ongoing US 4G war.
