Verizon LTE 4G Network to be Launched on Nov. 15?

Here's an exciting rumor for 4G consumers. The folks at Boy Genius, Verizon Wireless plans to launch its LTE 4G network in 25 markets on Nov. 15. The carrier is planning to launch the 4G technology in 25-30 markets, covering 100 million POPs before the end of the year.

Of course, the carrier did not respond to this rumor.

Verizon's LTE 4G data plans are expected to be tiered and will not charge a premium for high-speed connections.

The source of this rumor also revealed that "a slew of new devices" will be introduce on the high-volume Black Friday shopping day, Nov. 26.

Rumors of this first LTE 4G smartphone have also surfaced. Sprint has already launched two WiMAX 4G handsets and Verizon is expected to match these offerings. Circulating reports indicate that a new version of the BlackBerry Storm will run on Verizon Wireless' LTE 4G network. This device will allegedly feature a touchscreen, a 1 GHz processor, 8 GB of internal memory and 1 GB of Flash memory.
