T-Mobile HSPA+ Smartphone Coming Later this Summer

Sprint's first WiMAX 4G smartphone is currently making waves in the market and T-Mobile seems to have taken notice. The carrier has revealed that it will launch a new HSPA+ capable smartphone before the end of the summer.

It looks like T-Mobile is preparing for a possible WiMAX vs HSPA+ clash. Of course, the threat of Verizon and its LTE 4G network is also looming.

A handset that can offer theoretical capability of peak download speeds of up to 21 mbps and peak upload speeds of up to 5.7 mbps can attract plenty of subscribers.

Unfortunately, no further details were released about T-Mobile's first HSPA+ smartphone. But stay tuned because more details will be released in the following weeks.

T-Mobile recently started selling the Samsung Vibrant, which is a close cousin of the Epic 4G for Sprint. hopefully, the first T-Mobile HSPA+ smartphone will offers specs and features that are on par or better than the Vibrant.
