The first LTE 4G smartphone has already graced the halls of the FCC and the details are starting to trickle in. This time, MetroPCS CEO Roger Linquist has announced the name of the upcoming handset in an analyst conference call. Linquist identified the carrier's first LTE phone as the Samsung Craft.

The Samsung Craft r900 is scheduled to be on sale later this year for around $300. It is expected to be offered to consumers in the Dallas / Fort Worth and Las Vegas area.

Unfortunately, MetroPCS nor Samsung are stingy with the details. For instance, the operating system for the Samsung Craft r900 is still unknown.
