Can the T-Mobile G2 Compete with the Epic 4G and EVO 4G?

T-Mobile promises that its first HSPA+ smartphone is "designed to run at 4G speeds." This means that it will take-on Sprint's formidable WiMAX 4G smartphones, the Epic 4G and the EVO 4G. Will it really be able to keep up with these powerful Android smartphones?

Well, T-Mobile's best handset is probably the Samsung Vibrant, which is a variant of the Galaxy S like the Epic 4G. It's a very solid phone and offers competitive features.

The T-Mobile G2 needs to be as good or better han the VIbrant if it wants to survive a market against Sprint's WiMAX smartphones. It needs a massive display with very high-resolution, a very powerful processor, front facing camera, 8MP camera with HD Video, and a HSPA+ WiFi hotspot feature to be on par with the competition.

The info on the T-Mobile G2 is very limited. It's expected to be manufactured by HTC and run on Android but the other details are still unknown. I guess we have to wait for a bit to see if the G2 can be a potent weapon in a WiMAX vs HSPA+ battle.
